How can I help?
Undergraduate students who wish to apply to UCSB can call or email me for assistance. I’m happy to work with students and their families through the application submission process. In addition, once admissions decisions are posted I am happy to help students with their steps to enrollment which can include details on accessing financial aid award letters, connecting with housing contacts, and more.

About Me:
I was raised in a mixed-status family. I understand the fear of not knowing what to share with friends, teachers, or strangers when it comes to immigration status. I was lucky enough to feel love and support as an undergraduate student at UCSB. I completed my BA in Philosophy from UCSB and I also have an MA in Leadership and Liberal Studies from Duquesne University. I’m a first-generation college student who strives to help others that don’t know what to ask when it comes to college and admissions.

Where are you and/or your family from?
I live in Santa Barbara and my family is from Mexico, Guanajuato to be exact.

What words of wisdom do you have for undocumented students?
You are not alone. You are wanted at UCSB. You never know what the future holds and what opportunities will come your way. Ask for help, ask questions about everything and anything.

What is one thing off your bucket list?
Travel to Bolivia, then I will have officially visited every country in South America.
