How can I help?
I work closely with Dream Scholar students to facilitate navigating the CA Dream Act and the overall financial aid process.
About Me:
I am a proud, first-generation recent college graduate from UCSB. I received my BAs in Sociology and Political Science. During my undergraduate years I had the privilege to study abroad in Paris, London, and Spain and really immerse myself within different cultures. I also worked at the UCSB Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships as a peer advisor. After graduation, I had the great opportunity to advance my career in higher education at UCSB. During my free time I like to go on walks and catch the sunset. I also enjoy yoga and trying new recipes.
Where are you and/or your family from?
I grew up in the Inland Empire. Both of my parents are from Mexico, my mom is from Michoacán and my dad is from Querétaro.
What words of wisdom do you have for undocumented students?
No matter where you come from, you have the potential to achieve anything. Find your "Why" and always remember it.
What is one thing off your bucket list?
I would love to see the Northern Lights.
